چکیده

Abstract The seismic stratigraphy and sedimentary facies of the Cretaceous Paleogene successions in north-eastern offshore part Taranaki Basin, New Zealand have been investigated order to unravel their depositional evolution identify potential hydrocarbon plays. Interpretation regional lines covering entire shelf-slope deepwater regions as well integrating allows identification several seismic-stratigraphic sequences within studied successions. Early syn-rift (C1 sequence) were deposited structural lows near present-day slope swamp marsh changing basinwards into turbidites marine shales. post-rift (C2, C3 sequences) started with progradation delta (C2A-C2D units) followed by sedimentation transgressive C3A-E accumulated response thermal subsidence high-rates clastic supply. Extensive shelf conditions prevailed during deposition C2 continued uniform shales throughout basin. Rates sediment supply substantially decreased Oligocene prompting micrite-rich carbonate. Variation fossil content confirms occurrence cycles sea level fluctuations episodic variations terrigenous input. Organic-rich could be associated prograding clinoforms C2B unit probably contain, basinward, large amount gas oil prone kerogen. C2D may also contain organic-rich basinward coal present day shelf. Potential reservoirs are hosted on estuarine sandstones. mudstones excellent seals for hydrocarbons generated trapped underlying Late facies.

Facies, sedimentary environments and sequence stratigraphy of Cretaceous deposits in the northwest of Azerbaijan, Iran

The Cretaceous deposits in Morakan, located in the northeast of Khoy, a town in western Azerbaijan province, Iran, are primarily made up of carbonate rocks. These deposits, which are of 717 meters thick, lie on the clastic facies of Jurassic and are covered with beneath the pelagic beds of the Upper Cretaceous. To investigate the facies, sedimentary environment and sequential stratigraphy of th...

Depositional Environment and Sequence Stratigraphy of the Oligocene-Miocene Deposits North and East of Dehdasht, Izeh Zone, Zagros Basin, Iran

In this study, four well-exposed outcrops of the Asmari Fm in the southeastern part of the Izeh Zone of the Zagros Mountains were measured and sampled. In this region, the Asmari Fm is Oligocene to Early Miocene in age as determined by large benthic foraminifera. Based on depositional geometries, biogenic contents and lateral and vertical variations of facies, three depositional models are prop...

Palynofacies-based sequence stratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous strata (Abderaz Formation) in east of Koppeh-Dagh Basin, Northeast of Iran

The Upper Cretaceous strata were studied in a composite stratigraphic section named here Padeha-Baghak section in east of Koppeh-Dagh basin, north east of Iran. In this study, palynostratigraphy, palynofacies and depositional environment history of Abderaz Formation were integrated with sequence stratigraphy. Determination of sea level history and sequence units of the Abderaz Formation using s...

the search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame

this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...
